Melvin Berger, Founded Savings And Loan

Melvin Berger, who founded a Baltimore County personal savings and loan and was the organization donor Tiffany And Co Outlet Fake of downtown Baltimore's Holocaust Memorial service sculpture, died in his snooze Friday at his Pikesville house. He was 76.
Blessed in Baltimore and raised on Whitechapel Route, he graduated from City Higher education in 1950 and attended the University of Baltimore School associated with Law. He entered her parent's real estate business, William Berger Real Estate, on East Northern Avenue.
In 1961, he founded Yorkridge Federal Savings in addition to Loan Association in Baltimore State.

Mister. Berger was Yorkridge's president for many years as well as remained on a first name foundation with many of his depositors.
He also grew to be involved with local religious companies and charities. He would be a giver to the Jewish National Fund, among other companies.
"I recall various rabbis coming to each of our back door in search of donations," his son said. "As children, I asked him why he gave. He explained to me, 'Because it is really what we do.'"

Mr. Berger was a past president of Northwest Hospital Center in addition to served on the boards associated with Towson University Buy Ray Ban Aviators and Sinai Hospital.

Holmes; another son, Ryan Berger connected with Baltimore; two daughters Mindy Berger and Whitney Whiteman, each Owings Mills; a sister, Mildred Schwartz with Baltimore; and three grandchildren. The marriage to the former Bernice Offit led to divorce.
