Swimmer Supriya Mondal has qualified for the 2014 Youth Olympics by earning a gold medal while in the 200m butterfly event at the Dubai International Aquatic Championships in Hamdan.
The Teen year old swimmer clocked 2:03.93s, experienceing this qualification mark and will participate in the same event within the Youth Olympics, to be locked in Nanjing, China in August.
Mondal obtained earlier won silver within 100m butterfly with a timing of 60.45s and followed it up by using a gold in 50m butterfly clocking 25.67s, getting the qualification mark in both your events.
Mondal is a recipient of the actual GoSports Foundation PACE scholarships plan for the last three years and has migrated to Bangalore, training under Instructor Nihar Ameen.
Hailing from Shahpur in West Bengal and coming from a family of modest usually means, Mondal has won several country wide level events.
